Abstract

Royalty is an Alla Prima of Echo action painting performance carried out at Udi Enugu Ofala festival. The action painter in collaboration with the prominent Udubonchi cultural music propagated the message of peace- white, happiness- yellow, love- blue, green - life and abundance in Igbo land. Figuratively and metaphorically, some coronation or chieftaincy motifs such as beads, feathers, native crown, hand fan, crowed impression, cowry were portrayed to express excellence, greatness, strength, wealth and royalty which are associated with the Igbo race.
